The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU)
The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) has the main national responsibility for higher education in engineering and technology. Through prioritizing ‘Marine science and technology’ as one of six focus areas for research, the university is encouraging the integration of knowledge from a wide range of engineering and bioscience disciplines. NTNUs special competence is related to open ocean cage systems, land based recycling systems, and hatchery technology and logistics.
The NTNU Research Infrastructure open for Access in the AQUAEXCEL project is:
• NTNU Centre of Fisheries and Aquaculture (Sealab), Trondheim. The NTNU Centre for Fisheries and Aquaculture is a multidisciplinary facility, which is focused around marine fish juvenile and plankton technology, with activities related to aquaculture and environmental studies of effects from pollution and climatic change. The Centre is “home” for the multidisciplinary international Master Programme “Marine Coastal Development”.
